…Vincenzo Capezzuto gives a voice to the entire program, he is an etoile of the Italian ballet, who expresses himself as a pour of acacia honey, and renovates the myths of the troubadours (French poets and musicians). If you close your eyes and listen to Capezzuto, he can make you believe that the perfume of a flower is singing. For example a violet, but also a rosebud. He’s an extremely elegant person and singer, and he is committed to the perfect spelling and accentuates each word by making a painting out of each piece.

…Capezzuto’s genderless pop voice conveys every emotion from joy to melancholy with ease, while his graceful phrasing is at once expressive and insinuating. Various ages, accents, comic voices and dialects are dispatched with commedia dell’arte skill.

…Impossible to sing better, both the texture and the way of saying were perfect. Capezzuto sings face to face as if each of the attendees were alone with him in his house’s living room. Intimate recital, peaceful and close.

…Time seems to have no effect on Vincenzo Capezzuto’s voice, endowed with an immaculate timbre that transcends genres and ages, like the one of Chet Baker. His inflections have the impalpable delicacy of a butterfly's wings and his lip-smacking sensitivity gives us goosebumps from his first solo escape (Dicitencello Vuje by Rodolfo Falvo, which makes the stones cry). He makes his everything he sings with incredible sincerity and accuracy – the last word could only come to him, infinitely sweet in the funeral lament Fenesta che luciva, one of those anonymous masterpieces that crossed the centuries to embrace us as they must have embraced their first listeners.

…It is difficult to categorise Vincenzo Capezzuto’s voice; it is a startlingly androgynous falsetto, a reedy sound that turns white in its higher register. He employs it with total immersion in the text and styles required. He made the bossa nova-influenced Man is for the woman made lively and amusing and An Evening Hymn charming in its simple sincerity.

A complete artist, curious explorer of apparently different musical genres, Vincenzo Capezzuto perfectly represents the definition of an artist out of categorization. A wonderfully atypical figure of the musical panorama, able to range from Baroque to the Pop repertoire of various countries.

Le Salón Musical
…As Orfeo’s companion nahual—a shape-shifting being of Aztec mythology—Vincenzo Capezzuto is a bit of a shape-shifter himself; he has a sweet, feathery alto that’s so convincingly feminine I assumed in the liner notes the o in “Vincenzo” was a typo. His pop-leaning delivery helps smooth over the strained “old church-choir lady” sound that often plagues similar-sounding countertenors.

...The unity that goes beyond historical eras is favored by the voice of Vincenzo Capezzuto, indefinable in its uniqueness, an extension of the contralto in natural emission, with a very delicate paste, a crystalline clarity and a timbre that is cloaked in masculine feminine nuances, and of a white voice without this giving rise to a perceptible discontinuity; even more than for the countertenors, the definition of 'angel's voice' can be used for him.

..Vincenzo Capezzuto, with his high-pitched voice with an almost androgynous timbre that surprises our ears used to academicism, shows a beautiful projection and a fleshy and voluptuous expressiveness, we have to say that the hall was conquered by the performance of the former dancer (whose grace and presence he kept). Capezzuto, born in Salerno, sang with the talents of a storyteller, turns melancholic and seductive in the "Tarantella del Gargano" or "Tu bella ca lu sena" (folk song), poignant and charming in the "Lamento della Ninfa "by C. ...

...Vincenzo Capezzuto, with his very rare tenor timbre between chest and head voice, sings the Latin American Cancións enchantingly. Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah", sung with intensity by Vincenzo Capezzuto, was more than the cherry on top at the end of a great concert.
